International Student Intern Program

The world of international business can seem vast and overwhelming, and you may begin by asking yourself, "How would I ever feel comfortable doing business in a foreign country?"
Business abroad, just like business at home is just as much about who you know as what you know.  But how do you get to know someone 5,000 miles away?

Part of the function of the Chamber’s International Business Council is to connect member businesses with international students attending local universities.  Students can provide companies with firsthand knowledge of their home country, from the language to the culture to business prospects.  Employers can provide interns with work experience in the United States, networking opportunities and a real-world component to their degree.

If you are an international student interested in working for an American company during your time in Springfield, or if you are a Chamber member looking to expand your presence and relevance in an international market by utilizing the wealth of knowledge available through an international intern, please contact us.  We would welcome the opportunity to work with you to find the best internship match for your market research translation or special project needs.
