• The City of Springfield’s ¼-cent capital improvements tax was renewed by an overwhelming majority.
• Gold Mountain Communications, LLC is adding 140 jobs, which will more than triple its employee count. To accommodate this growth, the company is investing nearly $1 million and has leased a new office facility.
• Springfield-Branson National Airport was awarded the Business Partnership Award by the Missouri Economic Development Council (MEDC). The award is in recognition of the airport’s commitment to jobs and economic development through leasing a portion of the former airport terminal to Expedia, Inc.
• OTC’s 10 year master plan was approved unanimously by Springfield City Council. The plan includes a 20 acre expansion.
