•    The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in April that Greene County wages increased in the third quarter of 2009 compared to the previous year.

•    O’Reilly Auto Parts made its way onto the Fortune 500 (#429).

•    Guaranty Federal Bancshares, Inc’s. first quarter earnings were up 37 cents per share from first quarter of 2009.  Guaranty Federal Bancshares is the holding company for Springfield-based Guaranty Bank.

•    The Springfield-Branson National Airport announced that the Missouri Army and Air National Guard will be the second tenant at the old terminal.  The Guard will occupy 25,000 square feet at the south end of the terminal building.

•    CoxHealth and St. John’s Health System are donating a combined $500,000 to create an Ozarks Technical Community College scholarship program for dependents of health care system employees.
