Biz Blitz returns for a third year of speed networking

One of our most popular new events – Biz Blitz – is returning for its third year in 2019.

The Chamber started Biz Blitz in 2017 as an event designed to offer a different approach to networking for those who wanted to make a lot of impactful contacts in a hurry.

The idea is simple: We put the “speed dating” structure to work in a business networking environment and let individuals meet each other quickly, sharing their professional story and their companies’ approach to business.

It offers the chance to quickly make connections with new colleagues from one of the 10 area Chambers that participate in the program. And if you don’t find you’ve made that connection, no worries; after a few minutes, the bell will ring, people will move, and you’ll have the chance to meet a whole new set of potential contacts.

“It’s a great approach for people who want to meet new business contacts but aren’t quite sure how to get started,” says Dori Grinder, the Chamber’s vice president of membership development. “The Chamber offers the structure and the setting. All you have to bring is your business cards and the willingness to make a new connection.”

If this sounds like an event that’s up your alley, there will be two chances in 2019 to try it out. The spring Biz Blitz event is on the morning of April 30 at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Advance ticket purchase is required, and tickets will go on sale for that event later in March, so keep your eyes open for a special email with a promotional code in the coming weeks!

If you can’t make it to our April event, have no fear. There will be a second, evening event in late September. More details will be coming about that event later this year.
