Regional call center announces expansion into Springfield
Promoveo, LLC, a business process outsourcing company based in Bolivar, has announced plans to expand its local operations and headquarters in the Springfield region. The company will be opening a second office in downtown Springfield’s Hammons Tower and creating 50 new jobs.
Founded in 2015, Promoveo serves a variety of industries including recreation, transportation and logistics, energy and utilities, financial services, healthcare, and the public sector. The company uses a unified agent desktop where its employees can seamlessly communicate with customers across a variety of channels including voice, mobile app, chat, email, and video.
Established by experienced contact center leader Will Westmoreland, Promoveo is in the process of earning a Certified Disability Owned Small Business (DOBE) designation. In 2020, Westmoreland decided to combine his admiration for America’s veterans into his business and charitable strategies and created Service to Warriors – a pledge to ensure at least 20% of the company’s front-line agents are disabled veterans, honorably discharged veterans, or their spouses and caregivers.
“We are excited about the move to Springfield and the opportunities it will provide for both Promoveo and the community. We appreciate the knowledge and assistance we were offered by the Chamber team, they are an incredible advocate for the Springfield area and its growth. We look forward to continuing this partnership as our company grows," said Westmoreland, president of Promoveo.
Promoveo chose Springfield for the expansion to utilize our location within the Central Time Zone, reliable Internet and phone service, available workforce, and expansive federal HUBZone. HUBZone is a U.S. Small Business Administration program designed to encourage growth in historically underutilized business zones and award at least three percent of federal contract dollars to small businesses that operate and employ workers in those areas.
Chamber economic development staff worked with company officials to assess potential site availability, assist development during the build-out phase, and partnered with the Missouri Career Center to help with recruitment activities.
“We’re excited to welcome Promoveo to Springfield. Call centers and back office operations are a key industry for our local economy and we’re grateful that, even during a pandemic, employers like Promoveo are investing in our community,” said Matt Morrow, president of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
