The Chamber's Education Task Force, comprised of board-appointed volunteer leaders with diverse perspectives and industry expertise, developed the questions included in the voter guide, which were guided by the strategic objectives and policy positions included in the Chamber's Education Platform.

All seven ballot-certified candidates received and responded to the voter guide questionnaire. Read the voter guide here.

All seven SPS Board of Education candidates agreed to participate in the video interviews. Each candidate was provided six questions, developed by the Education Task Force, upon arrival for their scheduled interview. These questions included:

1. What is your vision for the role of the district in developing our future workforce?
2. What stakeholders will you consider when making decisions?
3. Describe why you are running and what experiences you have that prepare you to effectively serve in this role?
4. Give an example of a time you've had a strong difference of opinion and worked to find a solution.
5. Name on thing you think the district has done well over the last five years and one thing that could be improved.
6. How do you propose the district equitably and responsibly care for aging buildings, while demonstrating accountability to taxpayers?

Candidates were given 10 minutes to review the questions and given a specific time limit to answer each question, which was consistent for each individual. No question was rerecorded and candidates were not required to use the entire time allotted per question.
