Describe what your organization provides for its customers:
At Home is a property management company that services the Springfield metro area. We have an amazing group of dedicated team members with over 85 years of combined experience who are here to help owners and residents alike. Additionally, we use cutting edge software that allows us to offer all of our customers and clients a more streamlined and customizable experience.
Give us a brief history of your business and what makes it unique:
At Home was founded in May of 2007 by Michelle Gipson and Trent Jackson. Both had previous property management experience, but they saw a need in the Springfield area for a company that could help homeowners with just one or two homes. From its inception, At Home has grown organically and from word of mouth, letting new owners come to us vs. seeking them out.
What’s the most exciting recent highlight for your business?
In 2019, At Home finalized putting multiple systems into place and adding members to the team, which set up the foundation for our purchase of another local management company. This investment in our community allowed us to double in size while retaining our high level of service.
Where do you hope to see your business in 12 months?
We hope to continue to refine our systems and stay at the forefront of technology, always looking for ways to do it better and provide the next level of service to both our customers and clients.
What advice would you offer to someone starting their own small business?
We believe that growing at a pace that we were prepared for and that was sustainable was a key factor in our success. Additionally, we give so much credit to our staff and our philosophy of treating everything as if it were our own.
