Small Business Spotlight – September 2019: ACIS IT Solutions
Company name: ACIS IT Solutions
Person in charge: Travis Schnelle, president
Year founded: 1999
Describe what your organization provides for its customers:
At ACIS, we believe technology should be a tool, not a burden. We understand I.T. problems leave you feeling frustrated and paralyzed. As your partner, we empower you by ensuring your data and networks are safe, secure, and reliable so you can stay focused on what you. Managed I.T. services are our primary focus, although we also provide voice-over-IP phone systems, network security, computer upgrades and repair and virus & malware removal as well.
Give us a brief history of your business and what makes it unique:
ACIS originated in 1999 as a small startup and has grown as a company alongside the world’s technological advances. We focus on technology as a whole to ensure the IT environments of our clients perform optimally, while insuring our clients get the maximum benefit out of their IT investments.
What’s the most exciting recent highlight for your business?
This is a tough question with so much excitement this year!
We completed and rolled out a total rebrand process this year. This September also marks our 20th year, and we have recently completed an expansion project. These three combined achievements are helping pave the way to an amazing 21st year serving the Ozarks.
Where do you hope to see your business in 12 months?
I am looking forward to doubling the company’s size within the next 12 months and being recognized as the premier provider of I.T.-related services in southwest Missouri.
What advice would you offer to someone starting their own small business?
Quit worrying about what the competition is doing. I figured out that if you are striving to be the very best you can be, then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. People will see the same and respect your efforts and decisions. This alone has allowed me to excel personally and professionally.
Don’t give up - the struggles never go away, but they do get easier if you are dedicated.
